What We Do

In addition to in-school performances, YA also sponsors these other programs.

Classroom Workshops & Residencies
Workshops reinforce an assembly program or focus on an aspect of an art form. Designed to suit individual class needs, workshops offer students hands-on experience working closely with an artist. Standard workshop length is 45 minutes, and audience limits are 30 students per artist unless otherwise noted.

Residencies are sequential workshops in which the artists immerse students in creative experiences. They are developed in collaboration with teachers so that they are integrated with the curriculum, address the curriculum frameworks, and are tailored to meet the needs of the individual classroom or school campus.
Fees vary according to project length, materials needed, and artist(s).

Professional Enrichment for Teachers
YA offers on-campus workshops that help teachers incorporate the arts into many other areas of the curriculum.

Community Programs/Speakers' Bureau
YA programs are great for after-school activities, festivals, PTA or faculty meetings, corporate parties, senior citizen centers, museums or libraries. Fees may be slightly higher than school fees.

YA representatives are available at no fee to give presentations about YA programs and services to your community gatherings.

Special Needs
Young Audiences encourages performances for special needs audiences, tailoring performances on request.
